| His previous Youtube channel was terminated after 10 years
on New Years Eve on December 31, 2019 because of a frivolous
copyright claim. The claimant had no damages and Bud Meyers made
no money from the short highlight video he posted. It was just a
mean-spirited action to squash the little guy. Cable news channels and private people can easily BLOCK your videos without filing a copyright strike against you, but #FoxNews, #CNN and #MSNBC (and now, #OAN) are ruthless and mean, so they file TAKE DOWN orders against you! Mister Meyers lost 10 years of work, more than 1,500 videos --- over 200 were 15-minute highlight videos of Trump rallies. And Meyers lost over 10,800 subscribers as well. So much work, destroyed, with the click of a mouse by Youtube. Most of Meyers videos were just short 5 to 10 minute clips. His current or his previous Youtube channel was never monetized, so he never made any money; he only created and posted his channel as a hobby since he retired to help fill his time. He had carefully edited most of his videos and added long commentaries to many of them (most were political). Sometimes he add sound and special effects to be creative and also to create some satire. He never posted anything obscene. Most of his recent clips were from the impeachment hearings on C-SPAN. Mister Meyers said the he had carefully and specifically chose what to record, edit and post to his Youtube channel for his followers -- and many were grateful and thanked him, because most people don't have the time to watch entire news broadcasts, political rallies or C-SPAN hearings . . . so he chose what he thought were the most relevant HIGHLIGHTS (always under 15-minutes) so that more people could learn what's happening in American politics. "It's more like political censorship," Meyers say, "More so than any valid copyright claim that Youtube uses against you. We don't see this happening very much against the other side on social media. Every time I lose a follower on Twitter it's not because they UN-followed me, but because their account was suspended or terminated by Twitter, and who also happen to be Trump supporters. A quinky dink? I don't think so." His last Youtube project was to monitor every single minute of every single impeachment hearing on C-SPAN -- and then edit, organize and post all the clips separately with long commentaries. Then he posted all the links to his blog (Now none of the links work.) And like Youtube, his blog is also owned by Google. But all his work was destroyed . . .10 years of hard work . . . down the drain. Now he's starting all over again beginning on New Years Day (January 1, 2020). Sometimes a 10-minute clip could take him 12 straight hours to edit, because he spends so much time in detail, graphics and other elements that he adds to his videos ... he didn't just copy-and-paste news reports from cable TV ... he was creative and added value to each one.
